Minnesota Vikings (NFL): Vikings defensive tackle Everson Griffen involved in hotel incident – KSTP.com

Everson Griffen was in the new’s twice today. One report was talking about Griffen’s health update as he has been dealing with a knee injury but there was also another serious issue going on with him. The second report is much more serious. In a police report, there was an incident at Hotel Ivy in Minnesota where there was a shooting threat made to someone and the person on the report said it was Griffen. The name on the report is currently redacted and when the police showed up at the scene no weapon was discovered and no one was arrested. You can get full details in the source link above.

The Minnesota Vikings GM Rick Spielman spoke to the media about Griffen’s incident and said “We are aware of the situation involving Everson Griffen and certainly concerned by what we have heard. We are currently focused on Everson’s well-being and providing the appropriate support for him and his family.”

Everson did not play during Sunday’s loss to the Buffalo Bills due to a knee injury. This week, the Vikings hit the road for Thursday Night Football against the Los Angeles Rams. It is currently a toss-up if he will play this Thursday.

Los Angeles Rams (NFL): Sean McVay says Talib “possibly” needs surgery – James Palmer

In Monday’s media presser, Rams head coach Sean McVay said that Aqib Talib might require surgery on his ankle but will seek a second opinion. The Rams are really hurty right now. In Sunday’s victory over the Chargers, the Rams lost Talib, Marcus Peters (calf) and Andrew Whitworth to injury. The biggest thing here is that Marcus Peters calf injury is not serious and could play Sunday. With Talib likely out for some time, the Rams will turn to veteran Sam Shields and Nickell Robey-Coleman in his absence.
