Los Angeles Chargers (NFL): Chargers tight end Hunter Henry expected to play Sunday vs. Baltimore

WOW!….. Just… Just… Phenomenal. During training camp, Hunter Henry tore his ACL, underwent surgery and had aggressive rehab in order to make it to the playoffs. The Chargers are set for a rough playoff schedule which begins in Baltimore on Sunday. We are not expecting Hunter Henry to be in on every play but he is a valuable piece in red zone situations. Virgil Green will all then likely draw the start in Baltimore.

Jacksonville will have a lot to address heading into the offseason with the most notable being replacing Blake Bortles who is likely on his way out following another ineffective season. Back to the drawing board Jacksonville.

New England Patriots (NFL): Josh Gordon facing another suspension, will step away from football

The saga continues. This morning, Patriots fans woke to the news that Josh Gordon is in violation of his NFL reinstatement and is currently facing a lifetime ban from the National Football League. Josh Gordon, 27, has had a long history of substance abuse violation and alcohol use since jumping to the NFL in 2012. This year, Josh Gordon was shipped off to New England in exchange for a 5th round pick to Cleveland and many fans saw this as an opportunity to turn things around for what is such a promising career but, that turned otherwise. Since the news of his potential suspension made headlines, Josh Gordon spoke out saying “I take my mental health very seriously at this point to ensure I remain able to perform at the highest level.” and I have recently felt like I could have a better grasp on things mentally.” This suspension could very well spark what could be the end of a once-promising as Gordon’s last suspension took three seasons out of his career and this one could push team’s away for good.

Oakland Raiders (NFL): Raiders sign free agent quarterback Nathan Peterman

The Jon Gruden praised quarterback has officially got a second chance in the NFL. Nathan Peterman was cut by the Buffalo Bills back in September after another disastrous season in what has been a disastrous start to a career in the NFL. During his tenure in free agency, Peterman had notable workouts with Detroit and Denver but left without a contract. The “more pro-ready quarterback” in the 2017 NFL Draft will serve as Derek Carr’s backup. (Update: According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, Peterman will be signed to the Raiders practice squad, not the 53-man roster.)

Seattle Seahawks (NFL): Seahawks sign RB Bo Scarbrough off Jaguars practice squad

The addition of Bo Scarbrough could be a legitimate sign that the Seahawks will be without rookie running back Rashaad Penny who has been dealing with knee injury. Bo Scarbrough is a former 7th round draft pick by the Dallas Cowboys this past year. Scarbrough was at training camp with the Cowboys who eventually cut him, signed to the practice squad just to be released in early October. After getting cut by Dallas, Scarbrough was signed by the Jaguars on their practice squad. He is just a depth add this week vs. Kansas City.

New York Jets: Jets place RB Isaiah Crowell on injured reserve, ending his season

Dealing with a foot injury for some time, the New York Jets have decided to pull the plug and put Isaiah Crowell on injured reserve. This season, Crowell has shown small spurts of success mainly in the game vs. Indianapolis where he rushed for 219 yards. Since the return of Elijah McGuire from I.R., he has shown to be more of a reliable option going forward for the Jets. The Jets will continue to function with Elijah McGuire, Trenton Cannon and D’Angelo Henderson in their backfield. The Jets could very likely move on from Crowell as he is due an outrageous $12 million dollar salary in 2019.

Jacksonville Jaguars: Jaguars waive defensive back Barry Church

In the second year of his lucrative contract of four-year, $26 million signed last season, Jacksonville waived Barry Church. This season, Church has been noted to have done two things, first thing, he was one of the players tied to a 200,000 skipped bar tab in London and the second thing is being dominated by Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski. Barry Church also lost his starting role in week 12 to Ronnie Harrison. Barry Chruch could a veteran add in the remaining couple weeks of the season.
