 Miami Hurricanes: Quarterback Tate Martell transfers to Miami

After announcing his intention to transfer out of Ohio State just six days ago, Tate Martell has officially made his decision and will head to The University of Miami.

Tate Martell was heavily targeted by schools in which Martell had a lengthy list of schools to visit which featured West Virginia, Louisville and also Miami. Prior to announcing his decision to transfer, former Georgia quarterback Justin Fields transferred to Ohio State which proved as stiff competition for Martell which forced him to enter the transfer portal.

Upon joining Miami, Tate Martell will have to sit-out the 2019 season due to NCAA transfer regulations and will be eligible to play in 2020 where he will also have to return wide receiver Jeff Thomas at his disposal, Thomas announced his return to Miami prior to Martell’s transfer decision. Miami just scored big on this night.

 

 TCU Horned Frogs: Former Kansas State QB Alex Delton transfers to TCU

In a switch-a-roo fashion, Alex Delton, former Kansas State Wildcat, announced he would transfer to UTEP but would later switch his commitment to Texas Christian University. Delton, a more prominent dual-threat quarterback, joins Texas Christian’s rocky quarterback situation which has no clear-cut starter for 2019. Delton will join Micahel Collins, Justin Rogers, and Max Duggan this spring as they battle for the starting role.

 Notre Dame Fighting Irish: Redshirt Junior QB Brandon Wimbush announces he will transfer – Brett McMurphy on Twitter

After a being pushed out of the starting role due to Ian BookBrandon Wimbush has announced he will transfer from Notre Dame. In the midst of the College Football Playoff and three-days away from the Cotton Bowl vs. Clemson, Wimbush will remain with the team until the conclusion of the team’s stint before looking for a new home. This season, Wimbush was pushed out of the starting role due to a down performance which lead to Ian Book coming out and taking over for the undefeated Irish. Brandon Wimbush is known for his efficiency as a dual-threat quarterback and being more reliable in the running game more so than his passing. Wimbush could possibly look for a team that fits his him and his type of play.

 

 Arkansas Razorbacks: Redshirt Sophomore LB Alexy Jean-Baptiste will transfer – 247 Sports

A former three-star recruit out of Pompano Beach, Florida, Alexy Jean-Baptiste did not have a memorable stay with Arkansas as the injury-bug got to him early in 2017. This past season he saw the field only once and likely due to this it is what lead to him making the decision to transfer. This is currently the 24th player to transfer from the Razorbacks this year.

 

 Illinois Fighting Illini: Former Minnesota DB Rey Estes transfers to Illinois – Belleville News-Democrat

Rey Estes is a former three-star recruit out East Saint Louis, Illinois and now he is returning home. Estes announced his transfer to Illinois saying “New home! Buckle up! Thankful for this opportunity and the chance to continue to play B10 ball!’’ Estes wrote. “… Excited to see what the future holds.’’ Estes spent 2017 as a redshirt and would later suit up for one game in 2018. It is currently unknown as to what position Estes will be focusing on as he is known to playing quarterback and defensive back but with Eric Dungey draft bound Estes could possibly be looked at as a quarterback. Illini head coach Lovie Smith also mentioned that is unknown if Estes will seek a waiver to play in 2019.
