2019 MLB Free Agent Right Field Rankings:

Nick Markakis:

Andrew McCutchen: Signed with the Philadelphia Phillies on a three-year, $50 million dollar contract.

  • This is a big boost in the Phillies outfield which has a fair share of concern in the outfield. The Phillies already made a move to move Carlos Santana out of the first baseman role so that natural Rhys Hoskins can make the full-time transition back to first. As for McCutchen, the move brings him back to Pennsylvania, the state in which he started his career with the Pittsburgh Pirates for years, so it’s sorta a homecoming for him. In 2018, McCutchen spent the season split between the San Francisco Giants and the New York Yankee. McCutchen put up solid stats last season as he hit .255 with 20 home runs and 65 RBI’s (bat line: .255/.368/.424). The addition of McCutchen could be one of many moves to come from the Phillies this winter. The Phillies still remain interested in former Nationals outfielder Bryce Harper.
