 Utah Utes (Pac-12): Utes junior quarterback Tyler Huntley breaks collarbone, done for the remainder of the year – Erik Spokil of 247 Sports

  • Junior quarterback Tyler Huntley has broken his collarbone Saturday afternoon against the Arizona State Sun Devils. Huntley sustained the injury in the third quarter when he was put under pressure by the Sun Devils who threw him to the ground harshly as he tried to avoid a sack. Huntley was later carted to the back and freshman quarterback Jason Shelley replaced him in the game. The then #15 Utes will continue the season with Shelley as their starting quarterback.

 

 Wake Forest Demon Deacons (ACC): Deacons freshman Sam Hartman done for the season with a leg injury – Les Johns of 247 Sports

  • Wake Forest will be without upstart freshman quarterback Sam Hartman as he sustained a dislocation in his right leg that will end his season. Sam Hartman has a bright future ahead of him as this season was the starting point as he set the Wake Forest freshman record with 16 passing touchdowns. Hartman also was close to breaking the freshman record for passing yards as he finished the season with 1,984 yards. The 4-5 Demon Deacons will now have to choose between Kendall Hinton and Jamie Newman as their starter for the final three games of the season.
