The Philadelphia Union and center back Jack Elliott have agreed to terms on a contract extension.
The contract extension will keep Elliott under team control until 2021. The contract also features a club option for the 2020 season.
The Philadelphia Union released a statement about the extension of Elliott.
“Jack Elliott is a great example of the value of hard work and making the most of your opportunities,” Union sporting director Ernst Tanner said in a club statement. “This new contract is one that he has fully earned through his consistent and reliable play on the field. He is a tremendous passer, brings a unique blend of size and skill, and processes the game at a high level. We believe Jack has a bright future ahead of him and we are delighted to reward him with this new deal to keep him with the Union.”
Jack Elliott, 23, was drafted by the Philadelphia Union back in 2017 where was the 77th overall selection during the 2017 MLS SuperDraft. This season, Elliott has played in every minute of all 13 Union games this season.
