Chris Tomasson of The St. Paul Pioneer Press reports that the Minnesota Vikings and linebacker Eric Kendricks agreed to terms on a restructured contract.
The Minnesota Vikings had $1.177M in cap space and Eric Kendricks lucrative contract was adjusted to make sure that the Vikings had the salary to sign remaining 2019 draft picks. As of this afternoon, the Vikings still had the first-round center Garrett Bradbury still unsigned to his rookie contract which possibly led to the team adjusting Kendricks contract.
From what is known now, a large portion of Kendricks salary in 2019 ($4.15 million) was turned into a bonus which will be paid over the next five years of his new contract. Eric Kendricks signed a five year, $50 million dollar contract back in April.
