NFL Draft News: January 1st, 2018

LSU Tigers: Running back Derrius Guice to speak to Coach Orgeron about NFL decision

  • Following LSU’s loss to Notre Dame in the Citrus Bowl, LSU running back Derrius Guice said that he will speak to LSU head coach Ed Orgeron before making his decision. Derrius Guice had a solid performance against Notre Dame as he had 21 carries for 98 yards and 3 receptions for 24 yards and two touchdowns. Derrius Guice is easily a top three running back should he declare for the draft and despite being behind Saquan Barkley and Bryce Love, Guice’s draft stock still has him as a first-round draft selection. Now we just wait on the decision of Guice.

Washington Huskies: Quarterback Jake Browning to remain with school for 2018 season

  • Following the Washington Huskies loss to Penn State on Saturday night, Huskies quarterback Jake Browning has decided to return to Washington for his senior season. In 2017, Jake Browning took a bit of a step back from his 2016 Sophomore campaign as he completed 236 of 336 completions for 2,719 yards and 19/5 TD-INT ratio. Should have Jake Browning declare for the 2018 NFL Draft, his draft stock would not be as high as some draft experts had Browning landing in the 4th-6th round range. Jake Browning will return to Washington with a stacked offense around which features Trey Adams, Dante Pettis and running back Myles Gaskin.
