Oregon State Beavers: Quarterback Connor Blount to start vs. Arizona – Steve Gress

Earlier this week it was reported that starter Jake Luton has been dealing with an ankle injury and that his status this week was up in the air. Reports confirmed that Luton will miss today’s game vs. Arizona and Connor Blount will take over as the starter.

Iowa State Cyclones: Sophomore Zeb Noland draws start vs. Akron – Tommy Birch

Sophomore Zeb Noland draws the start over Kyle Kempt who was still in street clothes during pre-game warmups. This will be Noland’s second straight start over Kempt who is dealing with a knee injury.

SMU Mustangs: True freshman Will Brown to start vs. Navy – 247 Sports

Will Brown is getting the start over Ben Hicks who has been underperforming for the Mustangs this season. Mustangs head coach spoke to the media and said: “I saw enough from Will in Ann Arbor to like what I saw, just in terms of his moxie and how he competed”. With a solid performance against Navy, Brown could be the starter going forward down the stretch of the season.

Nebraska Cornhuskers: Adrian Martinez (knee) game-time decision vs. Michigan – Rivals

Still recovering from his knee injury vs. Colorado, Adrian Martinez has been reported to be a game-time decision vs. Michigan. Cornhuskers senior running back Devine Ozigbo spoke to the media saying “Adrian looked good today” and “I saw him pull up on a zone read, so he’s moving a lot better. I think we are good. We just have to see how feels come game day. I don’t know exactly the details, but he’s looking good.”

Stanford Cardinal: Bryce Love is expected to play Saturday vs. Oregon – Steve Mims

Last week, Bryce Love did not play against the Cardinal 30-10 victory over UC Davis which came as a shock to most people. Bryce Love returns to action in a big Pac-12 North game vs. Oregon. Love currently has 165 rushing yards in two games this season for the Cardinal.

Oregon State Beavers: QB Jake Luton (ankle) did not practice on Tuesday – Amy Schwartz

Injuries are starting to catch up to the junior quarterback who has been dealing with a concussion and now an ankle injury has found its way around. It was reported this week that Luton was in a walking boot which is not a good sign. Should Luton not be able to suit up vs. Arizona, Connor Blount will start for the Beavers.

West. Kentucky Hilltoppers: QB Drew Eckels (body) will not play vs. Ball State – The Messanger

This will be the second game in a row that Eckels will miss due to an upper-body injury sustained vs. Maine. With Eckels out, Western Kentucky will stick with Steven Duncan until Eckels works his back to the field.

Purdue Boilermakers: Junior QB Elijah Sindelar to start vs. Northwestern

During camp, Elijah Sindelar was battling David Blough and Jared Sparks. The decision was well known for a while with Sindelar’s position being “his to loose” during camp. In his first outing of the season he will battle Northwestern and top 2019 NFL Draft quarterback prospect Clayton Thorson. (Game Update: It was a tough outing for Sindelar as he finishes the game with an ugly 18/30-196-1TD/3INT night. David Blough also saw some minimal action tonight).
