This past weekend, free agent lightweight “Super” Sage Northcutt was in attendance at ONE Championship: Heart of a Lion with some speculating that he could be joining the promotion now that he is a free agent.
The free agent spoke with FOX Sports Asia reporter Andrew Whitelaw about the possible rumor. Check out the video posted by Whitelaw down below.
In the last week, ONE Championship has gained prominent MMA figures to their promotion as they acquired former UFC Flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson, former UFC Lightweight champion in Eddie Alveraz and now they recently announced Miesha Tate as vice president of the promotion.
Sage Northcutt, 22, just finished his contract with the UFC and is now eligible to sign wherever he decides to. If Northcutt moves on from the UFC he will hold a 6-2 record with notable wins over Cody Pfister, Enrique Marín and, Zak Ottow. Northcutt holds losses to Bryan Barberena and Mickey Gall.
