Arizona Cardinals Release Quarterback Sam Bradford

It was just a travesty in his tenure in Arizona. Sam Bradford signed a massive contract back in March (2-year, $20 million dollar contract) but only last three games with the Cardinals before being benched to Josh Rosen and demoted to third string.

With Bradford out of Arizona it not only hurts the Cardinals but also the Vikings. The Arizona Cardinals paid Bradford $10 million dollars ($3.5 million in salary and playtime incentives), the Cardinals gained a 6th round compensatory pick in 2019 while the Vikings lose a 3rd round compensatory pick to Arizona.

Bradford will hit the waiver wire which he will likely clear and become a free agent. The struggling Cardinals continue to operate with Josh Rosen and Mike Glennon as their two active quarterbacks.
