According to ESPN.com, the Jacksonville Jaguars are going to sign former Denver Broncos running back Jamaal Charles.
The Jacksonville Jaguars are getting depleted depth wise at running with Leonard Fournette out with a hamstring and now Corey Grant ruled out for the season with a foot injury.
Jamaal Charles, 31, is outside of his prime at this stage but he still serves as a servicable backup in the short-term. Last year, Charles spent the season with the Denver Broncos where he rushed for 296 yards on 69 carries and 1 touchdown.
With Fournette continuously be labeled week-to-week, T.J. Yeldon will continue to carry the workload in the backfield for the Jaguars until he returns. Charles will be his backup going forward.
