UFC 229: Khabib Nurmagomedov vs. Conor McGregor Event Results

UFC 229: Khabib vs. McGregor took place on October 6th, 2018 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. The main event features the biggest fight in UFC history as undefeated UFC Lightweight Champion Khabib Nurmagomedov takes on “The Notorious” Conor McGregor. In the co-main event, lightweight contender Tony Ferguson takes on Anthony Pettis and Dominick Reyes takes on Ovince St-Preux.

Post-Event Press Conference and Notes:

  • Following Khabib’s victory over McGregor, Khabib hoped over the cage and charged McGregor’s cornerman, Dillon Danis and a riot ensued. During the fight in the stands, Abubakar Nurmagomedov was trying to exit the cage but McGregor exchanged with him taking shots which later lead to Zubaira Tukhugovand Islam Makhachev to attack McGregor. After the fight and thereafter, Dana White confirmed that 3 people from Khabib’s camp has been arrested (later released and no charges filed by McGregor), his fight money is being held until the investigation is completed by NSAC.

 

  • With tonight’s loss against Nik Lentz, Gray Maynard has lost 6 of his last 8 fights.
