Tennessee Titans Sign Seahawks Quarterback Austin Davis
The Tennessee Titans are being depleted at quarterback due to the injuries sustained to Marcus Mariota (elbow) and Blaine Gabbert (concussion).
Last week vs. Jacksonville, Blaine Gabbert started for the Titans but was taken out of the game due to a concussion forcing Mariota to play below 100%. Mariota is set to start Sunday’s game vs. Philadelphia and Austin Davis is a healthy body behind the duo.
Austin Davis, 29, is a journeyman quarterback who has played on five different teams before landing with his sixth career team, the Tennessee Titans. In three active seasons, Davis has started 10 games (playing in 16 total) throwing for a total of 2,548 yards 13 touchdowns and 12 interceptions.
