The Oakland Raiders have confirmed that they have waived Giorgio Tavecchio, making it a clean sweep for the Raiders special teams unit.
Earlier this offseason, the Raiders parted ways with punter Marquette King who later signed with division rival Denver Broncos. Giorgio Tavecchio, 28, filled in last season for Sebastian Janikowski who went down with a back injury. In his lone season with the Raiders, Tavecchio converted 16 of 22 field goals and 33 of 34 extra point attempts. He should get a look at from another team soon.
