Darwin Quintero, Tyler Adams added to roster for 2018 MLS All-Star Game

NEW YORK (Monday, July 30, 2018) – Major League Soccer today announced the additions of Minnesota United FC forward Darwin Quintero and New York Red Bulls midfielder Tyler Adams to the roster for this Wednesday’s 2018 MLS All-Star Game presented by Target. The MLS All-Star team will face Italian giants Juventus on August 1 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta (7:30 p.m. ET, live on ESPN, UniMás, TSN and TVA Sports).

MLS All-Star coach Tata Martino selected Quintero and Adams to replace LA Galaxy forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic and New York City FC forward David Villa, who is questionable for the game due to ongoing recovery from injury after missing the previous six matches.

Quintero has thrived in his first season in MLS with nine goals and eight assists over 17 matches for Minnesota, while Adams has tied a career-high with four assists for the Red Bulls.

Homegrown Team coach Tony Annan also announced the additions of FC Dallas forward Jesus Ferreira and Real Salt Lake midfielder Aaron Herrera to the Homegrown roster. The MLS Homegrown Team will face Liga MX youth champions Tigres Under 20 team at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Training Ground on Tuesday, July 31 (8 p.m. ET, UDN/Twitter). The duo replaces FC Dallas defender Reggie Cannon and D.C. United midfielder Chris Durkin on the roster.
