Chargers Injury Update: Hunter Henry, Keenan Allen, Adrian Phillips

  • The Chargers are continuing to get hit with injuries as the team is already entering week sixteen without linebacker Denzel Perryman on defense. Head coach Anthony Lynn said that he is uncertain if Hunter Henry will be ready to go on Sunday vs. the New York Jets. If Hunter Henry is unable to go forward for the rest of the season the team will turn to veteran Antonio Gates at starter with Sean McGrath serving as his backup.

  • In a press conference, this afternoon, Chargers head coach Anthony Lynn updated us that wide receiver Keenan Allen is okay and Adrian Phillips is sore but is not expected to return this week. Keenan Allen left Saturday’s game vs. Kansas City on a cart with a back injury and Adrian Phillips got helped off the field by teammates after sustaining a ankle injury. Adrian Phillips could end up becoming week-to-week. The Chargers play the New York Jets on Sunday.
