According to Mark Sheldon of MLB.com, the Cincinnati Reds have signed former San Diego Padres pitcher Kevin Quackenbush to a minor league contract.
Kevin Quackenbush has spent the past four seasons with the San Diego Padres flip-flopping back and forth between the major league club and the minor leagues. In 2017, Kevin Quackenbush was mainly down at AAA-El Paso as he only played 20 games for the MLB club. In 20 games with the Padres, Quackenbush posted a 0-2 record, 7.86 ERA in 26 innings.
The signing of Quackenbush to Cincinnati also brings an invite to spring training where he will compete for a spot in the Reds bullpen.
