In the Cardinals blowout loss in London this afternoon, quarterback Carson Palmer broke his arm in the second quarter and was replaced by Drew Stanton.

Following the loss, Cardinals head coach Bruce Arians spoke to the media and stated that Palmer will undergo surgery and will be out 8-weeks and that Drew Stanton will be his starter with Blaine Gabbert backing him up. Drew Stanton came in for replacement for Palmer and did more harm than good. Drew Stanton completed 5 passes for 62 yards and 1 interception.

Drew Stanton has been the fallback option for the past few years for Arizona and he continues to be an ineffective backup. It does not sound like the Cardinals are planning on bringing in quarterbacks this week so they will carry Stanton and Gabbert until Palmer returns.
