Minnesota Twins To Decline Glen Perkins Club Option For 2018

Essentially making him a free agent at years end. Glen Perkins had another injury-riddled season as this year he suffered a left labrum injury that forced him to undergo surgery, costing him the vast majority of the season.

Glen Perkins will be paid a $700,000 buyout and will hit the free agent market for the first time in his MLB career. MLB.com’s Rhett Bollinger reports that Glen Perkins and the Minnesota Twins could possibly re-up this offseason on a minor league deal but it could possibly unlikely due to potential retirement considerations from Perkins.

Should this be the end of the line for Perkins, he will finish his career with a career 3.88 ERA, 35-25 win/loss record, and 120 saves.
