The bad luck for the Chicago Bears continues to pour in as the team announced today that they have placed defensive back Quintin Demps on injured reserve.
Quintin Demps, 32, sustained a broken arm in the Bears week three matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Quintin Demps missed this week’s game against Green Bay and it seemed like the Bears were looking for anyway for Demps to avoid injured reserve, but his arm injury was unavoidable leaving the Bears no other option.
With Quintin Demps being placed on injured reserve, third-year defensive back Adrian Amos will move into the starting safety role with Deon Bush backing up Adrian Amos for the time being.
Quintin Demps will be forced to miss 8-weeks of action and will be eligible to return during Week 12 against the Philadelphia Eagles barring any setbacks.
