Philadelphia Eagles Fear Broken Arm For Darren Sproles
According to Pro Football Talk’s Michael David Smith, Eagles running back Darren Sproles sustained a broken arm in Sunday’s win over the Giants.
Darren Sproles sustained his arm injury in the first half of Sunday’s game and was replaced by second-year running back out of West Virginia, Wendell Smallwood. Darren Sproles is set to undergo an MRI on Monday morning to determine/confirm his arm injury and a possible prognosis on when he will be able to see the field again in 2017.
With Darren Sproles on the shelf for some time, the Eagles will now have LeGarrette Blount, Wendell Smallwood and Corey Clement in the backfield. The Eagles will enter practice this week finding a new special teams returner as Sproles was the Eagles primary special teams returner on kickoff’s and punt returns.
