The Los Angeles Chargers are the latest team to call free agent cornerback Darrelle Revis on his availability according to Adam Schefter.
The Los Angeles Chargers injury woes continue as they just lost Jason Verrett yet again to season-ending knee surgery for the second consecutive year. The Los Angeles Chargers are now forced to go with Trevor Williams in placement for Verrett but the Chargers are looking to improve the cornerback depth which is weak outside of Casey Heyward.
Darrelle Revis, 32, was cut by the New York Jets back in February after a very disappointing display in his return to New York in 2016. Since his release from the Jets, Revis has not generated much free agent interest until mid-preseason and has still not signed with any team already into week 3 of the season. We expect that Revis’s name will continue to generate buzz as week 4 approaches.
