Today the Baltimore Orioles announced that they have granted the release of shortstop Paul Janish. Paul Janish will retire from baseball and become a coach for the Rice Owls baseball team.
Paul Janish, 34, spent nine seasons in Major League Baseball with three teams Cincinnati Reds, Atlanta Braves and the Baltimore Orioles. During his career, Paul Janish has mainly been widely known for his role as a versatile infielder who played everywhere around the diamond as well as his great defensive ability.
Paul Janish ends his 9-year career with a career average of .212 and to go along with 7 home runs and 87 RBI’s. We wish Paul Janish the best of luck in the new chapter in his life.
