For the second time this season, relief pitcher Tyler Clippard has been traded to another team, his third team of the 2017 season.

Tyler Clippard: Like mentioned before, this will be Tyler Clippard’s third team this season. This past offseason, Tyler Clippard signed with the New York Yankees but would end up getting traded to the Chicago White Sox in that blockbuster deal that sent David Robertson and Todd Frazier to the New Yankees. In 11 games with the Chicago White Sox, Tyler Clippard was a productive piece to the bullpen as he posted a 1.80 ERA and striking out 12 batters. Tyler Clippard heads to Houston where he will land in a late-inning relief role as the Astros have a solid contingent of setup pitchers already in place. The Chicago White Sox will receive cash considerations or a prospect at some point in the near future.

Final Grade: Houston Astros: B+ | Chicago White Sox: No Grade (pending return)
