For some time now the Yankees have been looking to improve in their rotation as they have been linked to Oakland’s Sonny Gray and now Jaime Garcia. The addition of Jaime Garcia does not mean that the Yankees are giving up on pursuing Gray even with a number of stalls the potential trade has had. For now, Jaime Garcia will serve as the Yankees #5 but the rotation could be switched up if Sonny Gray does get traded to the Yankees. Jaime Garcia is currently posting a 5-7 record with 4.29 ERA this season in 19 games.

In exchange for Jaime Garcia, the Twins acquired pitcher Dietrich Enns and Zack Littell. Zack Littell is key piece headed to Minnesota as Littlell is untouchable this season holding a 14-1 record, 1.87 ERA and 109 strikeouts between AA-Trenton and A-Tampa. The Minnesota Twins will also take on the entire $17 million owed to Jaime Garcia this season.

Final Grade: New York Yankees: B | Minnesota Twins: B+
