Back to where it all began, Jeremy Jeffress has been traded to the Milwaukee Brewers in exchange for minor league prospect Tayler Scott.

Jeremy Jeffress: This will be Jeremy Jeffress’s third stint with the Milwaukee Brewers. Jeremy Jeffress’s latest departure with the Brewers was the franchise’s best catcher in Jonathan Lucroy to Texas where currently both players have been dealt within days of each other. Jeremy Jeffress’s run with the Rangers was lackluster, to say the least. This season, Jeffress holds a 1-2 record and 5.31 ERA. In 2016, Jeffress was at one point the closer for the Brew Crew but now he will resume his late inning relief role.

Texas Rangers: Headed to Texas will be Brewers Double-A prospect Tayler Scott. This season, Tayler Scott is having a productive year as he is posting a 2.46 ERA with 63 strikeouts in 42 games in relief this season. Tayler Scott will likely report to Double-A Frisco RoughRiders unless reported otherwise.

Final Grade: Milwaukee Brewers: C- | Texas Rangers: C+
