After retiring from football last February, Thomas Tyner has unretired and has transferred to Oregon rival, Oregon State University.
Thomas Tyner has had a tough couple of years as he has been dealing issues in both of his shoulders. Thomas Tyner’s injuries forced him into retirement last February and it sounds like he is ready to get back to football and contribute for the Beavers. In an interview with Oregonian, Tyner said that “I wanted to be a Beaver his entire life”. The only thing that he is waiting on is clearance from the NCAA in order to make this dream a reality.
In two seasons with the Oregon Ducks Tyner ran for a total of 1,284 yards, 14 rushing touchdowns (1 receiving touchdown) while averaging 5.6 yards a carry in his two seasons combined. If he is cleared by the NCAA, OSU could have a very lethal running back core as the team will carry two speedy backs in Tyner and starting running back Ryan Nall.
