Bellator Headed To Europe In February With McGeary vs. Fields As Headliner
Bellator has announced in a recent press release that they will be returning to Europe this coming February. The coming event will feature Liam McGeary taking on Chris Fields in the main event.
Liam McGeary (11-1) is trying to get back into the swing of things as he is coming off his first professional loss to Phil Davis. Liam McGeary was a winner of 11-straight fights which saw him finish all 11 of his opponents. Liam McGeary currently holds victories over Emmanuel Sanchez (won the LHW title) and Tito Oritz in his last three fights.
Chris Fields (11-7) is a former cast member of The Ultimate Fighter Season 19 and was apart of Team Penn on the show. Fields was defeated in the elimination round to Matt Van Buren and would stay with the team for the remainder of the show but will fight for the promotion after the show. Chris Fields would go on to fight for Cage Warriors before landing with BAMMA in 2015. Fields holds notable victories over Dan Konecke, John Redmond and Pavel Kusch.
With McGeary-Fields being booked as the headliner the card does not stop there. BAMMA’s top rising prospect James “The Strabanimal” Gallagher will also be booked on the card but an opponent has yet to be announced.
