Prior to his main event fight against Joey “The Mexicutioner” Beltran at Bellator 168, Alessio Sakara has joined Combat Coverage’s Justin David Kish for a interview previewing his fight against Joey.
Justin David Kish: Thank you Alessio for your time how are things going for you today?
Alessio Sakara: Very well thanks, I’m happy to fight for this great organization, when not fighting work much on TV I have of my programs.
Justin David Kish: At Bellator 168 you will be taking on Joey Beltran in the co-main event. How have preparations for the fight been going?
Alessio Sakara: I was 5 weeks into my team American Top Team I have trained so much for every situation.
Justin David Kish: Now what is really special about the event is that it will be in your home country of Italy. How excited are you to see Bellator come to Italy and you performing in one of two biggest fights on the card?
Alessio Sakara: I’m happy that my fans can see this great live performances, unique experience.
Justin David Kish: How do you feel about Joey Beltran as an opponent?
Alessio Sakara: It’s tough and I like his style from rhyme on your feet, you Adrenalin for fans, who knows maybe we will have a meeting all about Striking as our tradition is Italian and Mexican boxer boxer.
Justin David Kish: Doing some research myself on Joey Beltran he likes to keep fights standing and have an all out boxing match. What have you seen of Joey that you will push come fight night?
Alessio Sakara: Almost all of his boxing style matches are, it will be great to fight so.
Justin David Kish: What is your gameplan heading into this fight against Joey Beltran?
Alessio Sakara: Striking.
Justin David Kish: Just a couple more questions before I let you go. You have a history of boxing in your combat sports career, Bellator has a very successful kickboxing card featured with Bellator 168. Do you think that you will pursue kickboxing fight at some point?
Alessio Sakara: Maybe , I love fight in MMA but I love too fight in kick and box.
Justin David Kish: You are having a huge turnaround as you are currently 1-0 (2-0 in last two fights). If you go on and defeat Beltran this coming next week where do you think this victory will put you in the Bellator light heavyweight division?
Alessio Sakara: I want to win to be able to fight on top of my category.
Justin David Kish: Lastly, give us a prediction on how this fight will go down next week?
Alessio Sakara: I can’t predict the future but I’m sure I’ll try to put it out.
