According to to 247-Sports, the Florida Gators are the latest team to check in on former Baylor Bears and current JUCO quarterback Jarrett Stidham.
Sophomore quarterback Jarrett Stidham announced his departure from Baylor prior to the 2016 College Football season, in the wake of a sexual abuse allegations at the university. Jarrett Stidham, and others departed for other schools but Stidham announced he will transfer to the JUCO and attend McLennan Community College in 2016.
Through out the entire season Stidham has been linked to schools like Auburn, Texas A&M and now Florida has joined the chase. The Gators this season finished off strong with an 8-3 record but their quarterback play has been up and down. Austin Appleby and Luke Del Rio has been the Gators top two choices this year but it will diminish following the season as Appleby will be gone from the university.
Many reports have indicated that Stidham will weigh in all the offers presented to him and it sounds like he will be making his decision on where to play sometime in the coming month of December. No clear cut favorite has been announced.
