The loss of playmakers for the San Diego Chargers continue to rack up and this week its coming on defense as Chargers linebacker Manti Teo injured his Achilles in the loss against Indianapolis on Sunday.

The story of the Chargers 2016 season is “ACL injuries and not finishing games”, but now you can add Achilles injury to the list. Manti Teo suffered the Achilles injury early in the first quarter of the game and was ruled out of the game mid-way through the second quarter. Many Chargers fans were in awww when Manti Teo went down with injury as the team is already missing key pieces on defense. This week the Chargers were without Joey Bosa (hamstring) and Jahleel Addae (broken collarbone).

There was no official word on how deep the injury is but there will be more information once the Chargers are back home in San Diego and Manti Teo sees physicians. If Manti Teo is to miss a number of weeks expect rookies Jatavis Brown and Joshua Perry to get more time on the field, next week San Diego welcomes back Drew Brees to San Diego as the Saints are in town.
