Multiple sources have confirmed that the New Orleans Saints are close to signing former Green Bay Packers fullback John Kuhn.
John Kuhn, 33, will be heading to his third NFL team in his career and he will be the leader at fullback for the New Orleans Saints. Prior to signing with the Saints, Kuhn spent 9 seasons with the Green Bay Packers where he won a number of awards like earning 4 Pro Bowl selections and being apart of the 2011 Green Bay team that won the Super Bowl against the Steelers.
Heading into his 11th season in the NFL, Kuhn will continue the role he had with Green Bay and that is be that lead blocker for the running backs the Saints carry on the roster. The Saints have really built themselves a great set of backs which features Mark Ingram, C.J. Spiller, Tim Hightower and Daniel Lasco.
The addition of Kuhn to the roster will likely put 2012 UDFA Austin Johnson on the roster bubble as Kuhn will be the 3rd fullback on the roster.
