Ann Osman ONE FC 44 Pre-Fight Interview

Welcome everyone to the exclusive pre-fight interview with ONE Championship women’s flyweight fighter Ann “Athena” Osman. In the interview with Ann Osman we talk all about her preparations for her upcoming bout at Dynasty of Champions 6 against Haiat Farag Youssef.

Justin David Kish: Thank you Ann for taking time to do the interview with us, how are things going for you today?

Ann Osman: It’s been going great so far. I’m just ready to get back in the cage and do what I do best. I’ve missed the whole fight night experience and it’s been a long time since I’ve heard the crowd and felt the excitement. I’m just ready to walk out there and put on a good show.

Justin David Kish: Now this weekend you will be competing at Dynasty of Champions against Haiat Farang Youssef, how has training been for the fight?

Ann Osman: I train constantly all the time and I’m always at the gym keeping fit so I didn’t have a hard time adjusting to intense training. I prepared really well for this fight. Coming off a loss is not easy but I’m glad that I still have the opportunity to do what I love to do. Can’t wait to get back into that cage!

Justin David Kish: Now Youssef is still new to the promotion, how are you scouting Youssef for your fight with very little film to watch for your fight?

Ann Osman: I’ve done a little research on her. You know at this level, everybody can do pretty much everything so then it becomes not really how much you’ve scouted your opponent, but how much you have taken the time to hone your skills and improve yourself. I’ve worked diligently in all aspects of my game, especially in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu where I joined some tournaments recently.

Justin David Kish: Please tell us a little bit about your training camp for this fight?

Ann Osman: Everyday I work on something new whether that would be striking with my Muay Thai or wrestling or grappling with Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. I always make sure to learn everything because this is Mixed Martial Arts. Knowledge and experience are the keys to success. You can’t just be good at one single thing, you have to have a little bit in all disciplines here and there.

Justin David Kish: When you look at this training camp is their anything new that you focused that you will pursue during your fight against Haiat?

Ann Osman: I think I improved my grappling skills a little bit, and I’m excited to show you guys. You’ll just have to wait and see, I might surprise you. Fighting — MMA isn’t easy. It’s a tough job. But some learn to be warriors and some are born warriors. I was born a warrior.

Justin David Kish: Thank you so much for time again but before we let you go, can you give us a quick prediction for your fight this weekend?

Ann Osman: I’m not really one to give fight predictions for my own fights but I predict this will be an exciting fight for all the fans watching. We’ll put on a great show for you guys.
